Trainly uses a combination of GPS data, track sensors, and real-time updates from train operators to determine the exact location of a train. This allows us to provide accurate and timely information about train movements.
Trainly requires an internet connection to provide real-time train updates. However, recently viewed journeys and station information are cached, so you can still access some basic information when temporarily offline.
Trainly covers all UK passenger train operators. We provide comprehensive coverage across England, Scotland, and Wales, ensuring you can track any train journey within the UK.
